Dear members and friends of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville:
Phones and Internet and power are out at the church. In order to serve your needs we have created this blog post to connect people who need things (housing, a working shower, a spare generator, use of power/Internet) with those who are able to provide those things.
If you can help, or you need something, please leave a comment on this post.

I live on Rosedale Road where the power is out. The power is out in a lot of Lawrenceville as well. The Hotel (Chauncey Conference Center) across the street from me has vacancies at a cheaper “Hurricane Rate” plus food $10 dinner buffet, etc. I have checked in and thought I would get the word out if anybody needs a place to stay. It is very nice. They have internet, power, and back-up power.

I have chain saws, a generator, shop vac, pumps, etc. if needed. We just got power back, so we have a shower that people can use also.
Thanks for all the comments and offers to help. Just an update about the church – power is back on, so the building will be open tomorrow.
Glad so many are able to help others. Many other stories of folks helping each other that I’m hearing about too. Although Irene was not as powerful as expected, it really did knock a lot of people for a loop. And it’s a reminder of how we are a community.
Hang in,
Jeff
And…thanks too to Mark Smith and our new communication director, Lori Ruddle, who facilitated communication today amidst a not-optimal situation.
Hello All, The Harbaugh family can help if anybody still needs help. We can enterain children if needed i the evening times, or lend a hand in many other ways. Also just found out from Lawrence Quck News that Lawrence High School is open to Lawrence residents that still don’t have power. If you know somebody who still doesn’t have power in the area, spread the word. Ours came back yesterday, phew!
Lawrence High School (LHS) is open temporarily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Lawrence residents experiencing power outages to use wireless internet services and for access to desktop computers in LHS Technology Center (at the north end of LHS). Parking lot entrance for the Tech Center is off Princeton Pike.
Here’s the excerp from Lawrence Quick News.
LHS is available during these same times for residents without water service due to loss of power to use the shower facilities in the pool area.
